PeaceFM.org.ukPeaceFM is a month long radio station for South Manchester promoting Peace and positive news. I created this webpage which includes live steaming of the radio feed, a timetable of DJ's and sponsor links. PeaceFM hope to operate a 5 year licence in 2009, and I hope to have my own show!
EPMfit.comEPMfit.com was designed based upon the "Elite" branding which I also created with input from the client. The website is built with Joomla, a Content Management System, which allows the client to update the content, images, pages and navigation easily. It includes a shop page which handles payments through PayPal.
FreedomHomeBuyer.co.ukThis site no longer exists. Basing the design of this website on the new corporate imagery, this website was very distinct and visually appealing. It contained static information and an online application form which emailed the details to the client.
PeaceWeek.co.ukThis website is based on WordPress software enabling Carisma staff to create news, events and links. It has been designed to present the information clearly and to encourage participation - news items can be commented on and there is a forum. During Peace Week, a local radio station - PeaceFM - will be streamed through the website.
ChurchMCR.comI designed and developed this Social Network site within 3 months focussing on making it easy to navigate. Since it's launch I have added a number of features and continue to develop it based on feedback from the users. It is driven by MySql and Ruby On Rails and uses some AJAX features. This Social Network allows users to login and create news, events, conversations, mark maps and much more. RSS feeds are built in for news and events, and there are 2 Podcasts based on this website.
AsylumStories.co.uk/ProtestThis website has been created to explain the protest which (another) Ben and I are doing to end the destitution of refused Asylum Seekers in Britain. It was created using WordPress and pre-built theme and contains several pages, a blog and the ability to subscibe to the blog by email.
ACCAStockport.org.ukThis website was built using WordPress and is based on a pre-built theme which i have changed to suit the clients needs. It enables ACCA Stockport staff to update their new and events easily, and to create new pages. I also set-up a Flickr account so they can share their photo's, and a FaceBook group so they can raise awareness of their activities.
JamaicaSocietyManchester.org.ukThis site no longer exists. The website was created using WordPress and a pre-built theme. Society volunteers can update the news, events and page content through the password protected administration area.
SkateMCR.comThis site no longer exists. I based this unusual design on a template but changed the colours and layout of information to fit as much as possible on the screen. It was powered by WordPress and was tweaked to offer email subscriptions, podcast streaming and polls.
ChangeMakersBlog.WordPress.comChangeMakers needed a quick online presence, so I set-up a free blog on WordPress.com. I chose the theme and edited the sidebar to display the ChangeMakers logo. The aim is to export all the content to a dedicated website which can be desinged as they like.
AsylumStories.co.ukThis is a personal project of mine and was built using WordPress and a pre-built theme. I created the header images to randomly rotate and added the ability to subscribe to the stories by email. AsylumStories.co.uk will shortly have a Video Podcast of Asylum Seekers telling their own stories.
ProjektsMCR.comBasing the design on the Projekts logo, I themed the website on revolutionary images making it distinct but clear. It is driven by a MySql databse and was programmed from scratch using PHP. This website has it's own password protected bespoke administration area where the staff can add news, events and change the text on any page. It also pulls in photo's from Flickr.com and RSS feeds from other websites.
